But I loved fictional or even true historic tales, just as you alluded to, stories about LIFE as it happened then (whenever then was). One set of books that does factual history really well for children is the historic series by Genevieve Foster, which covers what was going on all over the world during the times of particular historic figures such as Christopher Columbus, George Washington,etc. I found them totally amazing when I first discovered them, because she brings together all these different historic pieces from one time period and shows how they interrelate in ways I never thought about before.Barbhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10353465756013913758noreply@blogger.com
